Moldova's national weightlifting team has left for South Korea to participate in the World Championships during November 19-29, Info-Prim Neo reports. Moldova is represented by 3 athletes, Alexandru Dudoglo (69 kg), Anatol Caracu and Eugen Bratan (94 kg), accompanied by coaches Gheorghe Gutu and Sergiu Cretu. Despite the limited number of competitors, the coaching staff hope Moldova will perform well. The costs related to the trip, about 180,000 lei, are covered by the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Alexandru Dudoglo will be the first to enter the competition on November 22. He achieved the best results among the Moldovan weightlifters at the 2008 Olympic Games, placing the ninth. The World Weightlifting Championships, taking place in the city of Goyang, are expected to bring together roughly 600 athletes from over 100 countries.
