Three Moldovans accused of committing a robbery that resulted in the death of a person in the Netherlands were arrested, IPN reports.

The case happened in Winterswijk last July. According to prosecutors, the individuals broke into the house of a family, tied the owners up and stole possessions to the value of over €500. The owner of the house – a man aged 52 – died asphyxiated.

The robbers left the Netherlands. They were put on the wanted list. Shortly afterward, one of them was caught in France, while another one in Russia. They are to be extradited to the Netherlands.

The third accomplice was arrested in Moldova. He is 28 and lives in Anenii Noi district. He worked officially as a judo trainer at a multifunctional center in the settlement where he has his domicile.

As the Moldovan legislation does not allow extraditing the citizens of Moldova, the results of the investigations carried out in the Netherlands will be furnished to the Moldovan authorities so that the culprit could be held accountable in Moldova.
