Moldovans invited to apply for International Parliamentary Internships

The Embassy of Germany in Moldova reminds that the deadline for the submission of applications for International Parliamentary Internships is June 30, Info-Prim Neo reports. In a communique, the Embassy says the highly qualified young men and women who are interested in politics and who wish to play an active and responsible role in shaping the democratic future of their country are invited to file applications by June 30, 2010. The program offers 120 politically interested young people from 28 countries the unique opportunity to get to know the German parliamentary system and political decision-making processes and to gain practical experience of parliamentary work during a 15-week work placement with a Member of the Bundestag. The program is run by the German Bundestag in cooperation with the Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität Berlin, and Technische Universität. The scholarship includes: monthly stipend of € 450.00, free accommodations, health, accident and liability insurance, reimbursement of the travel expenses to and from Berlin. Moldova has participated in the program for four consecutive years. Ten Moldovan young persons benefited from internship so far.
