The Moldovans who live in Israel, but also the Israeli citizens who live in the Republic of Moldova will be able to convert their driving licenses. The Cabinet approved an agreement to this effect with the Government of the State of Israel, IPN reports.
“The Ministry of Interior confirms its commitment to provide considerable support to the citizens from the diaspora, including by making appropriate efforts to recognize and convert driving licenses with the Israeli authorities,” Minister of the Interior Adrian Efros stated in the Cabinet’s meeting.
In Israel, there are over 13,000 citizens of the Republic of Moldova who will benefit from this simplified procedure.
The agreement between the Government of the Republic of Moldova and the Government of the State of Israel regarding the procedures for converting driving licenses was signed in Tel-Aviv on March 20, 2024.
