Moldova’s exports of dried fruit up 65%

Exports of dried fruit from Moldova in the first six months of 2024 increased by 65% compared to the corresponding period last year, IPN reports.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry said that the increase from 4,000 tonnes to 6,600 tonnes reflects the hard work and devotion of the Moldovan producers.

According to statistical data, the Republic of Moldova in January-May 2024 witnessed an increase in the exports of several categories of agricultural products. Exports of oilseeds grew 1.6 times, highlighting an increased demand for these products in international markets.

In the same period, exports of fruit and vegetables rose by 24.3%. Also, the alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages sector saw a 13.0% increase in exports.
