The football championship of Moldova takes the 44th position in the national leagues rankings for 2009 compiled by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics, Info-Prim Neo reports. The National Division is among the first 45 championships of the world owing to Sheriff Tiraspol’s participation in Europa League. Moldova are above such powerful leagues as Sweden, Norway and the U.S. The most powerful world championship is England with 1,187 points. They are followed by Spain (1,077), Germany (1,031), Brazil (941) and Italy (920). The rankings have been released by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics since 1991. It is based on the results achieved by the clubs in the national and international competitions.
