Moldtelecom employees donate over half a million lei to flood victims

The employees of Moldtelecom offered 534,000 lei from their salaries for July to people in the flood-hit areas, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the company's press service. The money will distributed through the special fund created by the Government of Moldova. “The infinitives to provide aid to flood victims form part of Moldtelecom's corporate social responsibility program. Besides modern telecommunications service, Moldtelecom means support to the people,” said Vitalie Iurcu, the company's director general. According to him, the tragedy of the people living in the flood-stricken areas cannot leave the Moldovans indifferent. Thus, the employees of Moldtelecom decided to support those who remained without homes and property. Earlier, Moldtelecom provided 100,000 lei and units of transport for flood cleanup. The clients of Moldtelecom can also make donations through special phone numbers opened by Moldtelecom within a campaign launched by Teleradio Moldova. Any message sent during July 11 – August 11 to [{0 900 77774}] in the fixed-line telephone network and to [{7474}] by the subscribers to [Unité] and [Amplus] represents a donation of 8 lei, VAT included.
