The Chisinau Exhibitions Center “Constantin Brancusi” is housing an exhibition by plastic artist Andrei Mudrea titled “Moments of Light” between May 26 and June 7. Once in five years, the artist shows his new accomplishments to the public, Info-Prim Neo reports. “After every personal exhibition, I have the courage to start everything from zero and produce something new for the public. I always look for new ideas and techniques,” Andrei Mudrea said at the opening on May 26. The exhibit “Moments of Light” includes 130 paintings and 35 works of art from wood and iron. “God gives us a moment of light and we, the painters, try to stop it and paint it. Why should we not gather those moments of light and offer them to the others? It’s nice to give light to each other,” Mudrea considers. “I have known Andrei Mudrea for many years and followed his work. He is an exceptionally talented painter. I have several of his paintings at home. I like the colors in his paintings as they are light and warm your soul,” said Elena Arion, a family friend of Andrei Mudrea. “It’s amazing! I’ve got the impression that one should live several lives to produce so many exceptional works. Every work involves thinking, mediation,” said poet Marieta Ruso. The president of the Union of Plastic Artists of Moldova Ghenadie Jalba considers that Andrei Mudrea’s exhibition is an event for the world of plastic arts. “He creates new and interesting works. His works are diverse and special. Even if Andrei Mudrea is present at many group exhibitions, his personal exhibits show how he develops,” Jalba said. Andrei Mudrea’s works were exhibited in the most prestigious exhibition halls in France, Germany, Russia and Poland. Besides painting, Andrei Mudrea is also known in the world of cinema.
