The volume of natural gas consumed this March was 101.5 million cubic meters, which is by about 56.81% more compared to the same month of 2023. Compared to February 2024, the figure decreased by 6.6 million cubic meters or by about 6.1%, IPN reports, with reference to Moldovagaz.
Until March 31, household consumers paid 94.7% of the amounts billed in 2024, which is by 0.8 percentage points less compared to the same period last year. In the case of non-household consumers (legal entities), the transfers constituted 96.8%, which is by 2.3 percentage points more than in March 2023. Enterprises operating in the energy and heating sectors of the country fully paid the bills, which is by 28.1 percentage points more compared to the same period last year.
During the reference period, 757 consumption units were disconnected from the natural gas distribution network. The debts of their owners amounted to about 3.5 million lei.
According to data of Moldovagaz JSC, the payments for the consumed natural gas on March 31, 2024 represented 97.2%.
