More than 50,000 persons purchased the mandatory health insurance policy in fixed amount until April 2. This is by 1,500 persons more than in the first quarter of last year. The National Health Insurance Company said the collected financial resources came to almost 87 million lei, an increase of about 2 million lei, IPN reports.
A number of 32,400 persons benefitted from the 50% discount off the price of the health policy. These include founders of individual enterprises, lessors, lessees, patent holders and other citizens who are not employed and are not insured by the Government. Another about 17,300 persons, who own farmland, benefitted from a discount of 75%.
Over 800 unemployed public notaries, bailiffs, lawyers and mediators paid the full price of the health policy – 4,056 lei, as during the last four years.
