The Education Ministry allowed the higher education institutions to decide themselves how to organize admission. Contacted by IPN, most of the representatives of universities said that no additional tests will be introduced.
Gheorghe Cimpoies, rector of the State Agrarian University, said the admission will be based on the average of grades got at high school and in Baccalaureate exams. “The students are stressed over the high school exams. We will introduce no additional tests, as the previous years,” he stated.
Admission at the State University of Medicine and Pharmaceutics “Nicolae Testemitanu” will also be without tests. Secretary in charge of admission Gheorghe Rojnoveanu said they will take into account the average of grades in Baccalaureate exams and at the subjects of specialization.
Sergiu Andronic, secretary of the admission commission of the Technical University of Moldova, said the procedure will be similar to that of the previous years. Besides the average grade at high school and in Baccalaureate exams, an aptitude test in artistic drawing will be given at five specialties – architecture, interior design, fashion design, industrial design, and sculpture.
Alexandra Barbaneagra, pro-rector for teaching at the Teacher Training University “Ion Creanga”, said that an aptitude test will have to be taken at two specialties – plastic arts, and sports, modern and folk dances.
First pro-rector on education at the Academy of Economic Studies Ala Cotelnic said there will be no additional test at their university for candidates. Admission will be based only on the average grade in the Baccalaureate diploma.
The admission method at the State University of Moldova will be decided in a meeting of the Senate at the end of May, said pro-rector for studies and teaching Otilia Dandara. The previous years, only those who applied to the faculty of journalism took an aptitude test.
