Communist lawmaker Elena Bodnarenco was summoned to the National Anticorruption Center for being questioned over her public statements about an alleged corruption attempt. The questioning is to take place on March 15, IPN reports.

According to the Center, an investigation will be launched following the statements made by MP Elena Bodnarenco. This said that a lawmaker of a parliamentary party offered her money and posts for persuading her to leave the Communist group. To identify the given person, the Communist MP will be questioned.

Elena Bodnarenco was summoned to the Center on March 10 as well. But the summons could not be handed over to her personally. She didn’t answer the phone and the summons was thus left in the mailbox. The MP didn’t present herself at the Center on March 10.

Earlier this month, Elena Bodnarenco in a TV program said that an MP of the Democratic Party tried to corrupt her so that she left the Party of Communists. “They offered me a six-digit figure in dollars to vote for the Filip Government and to leave the PCRM. If I had chosen some posts for me or for someone from my family, the sum of money would have been smaller,” she stated.
