MP of the Party of Action and Solidarity Mariana Lucrețeanu was appointed as secretary of state at the Ministry of Internal Affairs. A decision in this regard was approved by the Cabinet on Wednesday, IPN reports.
“Mrs. Lucrețeanu studied at the Polytechnic University of Bucharest and holds a master’s degree in business development and external relations. While receiving training in European Union countries, she has accumulated a good practice in the management of large-scale projects and managerial experience. Likewise, she has relevant experience of cooperation in the field of migration and labor,” said the Minister of Internal Affairs Adrian Efros.
Mariana Lucrețeanu became a member of Parliament in August 2023 after being a substitute candidate on the PAS lists. She is from Vadul lui Vodă town and before entering the legislature, she lived abroad for about 20 years.
The appointment of the new secretary of state at the Ministry of the Interior comes after last week the Cabinet accepted Jana Costachi’s resignation.
