Hundreds of members and sympathizers of the Communist Party, together with Communist MPs, booed the lawmakers of the government coalition before the October 22 extraordinary sitting of Parliament, where the censure motion against the Leanca Government is being discussed. Carrying red flags and placards, they demanded the dismissal of the Leanca Government, accusing it of corruption and betrayal of the country’s interests, IPN reports.

The leader of the PCRM Vladimir Voronin said there are many methods of solving the Transnistrian conflict and maintaining stability in the region and the Government should employ them. “These migration posts mean the creation of a border between the two banks of the Nistru River,” said Vladimir Voronin.

He also said that a lot was done for the Moldovans living in the Transnistrian region while the Communists were in power, and the Leanca Government should follow their example. He called on the people to support the PCRM’s intentions to dismiss the current Government because this is in the people’s interests. “We need the support of the people from both banks of the Nistru River,” said Vladimir Voronin.

The Communist MPs said they will not give up their plans to obtain the dismissal of the Leanca Government. They voiced hope that the censure motion will be passed in Parliament. “We will soon get rid of these traitors,” said Iurie Muntean.

On October 17, the Communists put forward a censure motion against the Government. It is centered on the Transnistrian conflict and the migration points set up between the two banks of the Nistru.
