The autumn-winter session of Parliament starts on September 3. An order to this effect was signed by Speaker Andrian Candu, IPN reports. The legislative body will come together for the first plenary sitting when the Parliament’s Standing Bureau suggests, after the agenda is drafted.

Earlier, Andrian Candu said given that the future legislature, after the February 24, 2019 elections, will consist of members chosen in single-member constituencies, the current legislature should do the parliamentary reform and should adopt the new Code of Parliamentary Procedures that stipulates other working methods in Parliament. The amendment of the Constitution for enshrining the European course in it is another announced priority.

In the second half of September, the legal commission for appointments and immunities is to present its findings concerning the invalidation of the Chisinau early mayoral elections and recommendations for amending the legislation in this regard. In September and October, intense work will be done on the budgetary-fiscal policy and the state budget for 2019 so that these are adopted in the middle of November.

The spring-summer session ended on July 27.
