Municipal councilor proposes to set up Grigore Vieru's Well memorial

Chisinau councilor Mihai Severovan proposes to erect a memorial complex called Grigore Vieru's Well, at the intersection of N. Dimo and Miron Costin streets in Ciocana district of the capital, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to Severovan, the poet was among the founders of that wellspring. “In 1969, jointly with other dwellers, Grigore Vieru revamped the wellspring near his house. This source is called Grigore Vieru's well,” the councilor said at the March 10 sitting of the Municipal Council (CMC). Severovan asked the architecture division to come up with a draft blueprint of the memorial, and the CMC endorsed the idea.
