Muruianu buys Mercedes of half a million lei for Supreme Court of Justice

The Supreme Court of Justice last yearend purchased a Mercedes–Benz E230 worth about 500,000 lei. The acquisition contract was presented by Minister of Justice Alexandru Tanase at a news conference on Thursday, Info-Prim Neo reports. The contract was signed by Ion Muruianu, the then president of the Supreme Court of Justice. The car is outfitted with a driver fatigue detection system, thermal protection glass, lateral airbags, etc. “When the car was bought, the Supreme Court of Justice already had a similar car. The acquisition was made in a period of crisis when the institutions are advised to reduce costs,” Alexandru Tanase said.
