Museum in memory of victims of political repression to be opened in Chisinau

Prime Minister Vlad Filat instructed Minister of Culture Boris Focsa to find a suitable place where to set up a museum in memory of the victims of political repression. The society, especially the young people and children, should know the history and the suffering through which the repressed persons went, the Premier said, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. Vlad Filat said the Government will allocate money, if necessary, to hasten the construction of the monument to deportees in the square of the Railway Terminal in Chisinau. The monument is to be unveiled next year, when it will be 70 years of the deportations of June 13, 1941. On the first school day on September 1, one lesson will be dedicated to the deportations in Bessarabia and Northern Bukovina.
