Natalia Levchenkov ranks eighth at world champs

Moldovan biathlonist Natalia Levchenkov finished eighth in the 10 km pursuit race at the Summer Biathlon World Championships held in the German town of Oberhof. The competitions ended on September 27, Info-Prim Neo reports. Though missing two shooting targets, Levchenkov did not manage to show the same result as in the sprint race, where she ranked third. The other Moldovan biathlonists who competed in the last day of the championships showed modest results. Junior Victor Panzaru finished the 37th in the 12.5 km pursuit race, while Alexandra Kamenshchik abandoned the race. The competitions constituted a training stage for the winter season that will start on November 26.
