National Army receives military equipment from U.S.

The National Army was donated a new lot of military equipment by the U.S. Government based on the agreement of cooperation between the Government of Moldova and the U.S. Government of March 1994, IPN reports.

According to the head of the Ministry of Defense’s Logistics Division, Colonel Iurie Bruma, the donation consists of 41 High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles and trucks. Thirty-four vehicles arrived already in Moldova, while the other seven will be delivered by the end of the first quarter of this year.

The donated equipment will be used by Moldovan service members at national and international exercises.

In 2014, the U.S. donated 39 High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicles and ten trailers to the National Army.
