The National Army has been employed in disaster relief and flood prevention efforts under a Parliament's emergency decision adopted today, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Defense Minister Vitalie Marinuta sought the Parliament's endorsement saying the people needed the help of the National Army.
Acting President Mihai Ghimpu said in the context that he was dissatisfied by how the authorities of some districts failed to implement adequate prevention measures. In some villages people weren't even provided with food. All these deficiencies are to be removed with the Army's help.
