National Center for Integrated Coordination of Public Order Situations activated

The National Center for Integrated Coordination of Public Order Situations was activated in the morning of February 24. This will work round-the-clock and will monitor the situation in the country and the region in real time so as support the decision-making process, Minister of Home Affairs Ana Revenco announced in a news conference.

The Center includes representatives of all the bodies of the Ministry of Home Affairs. Attention is devoted to the management of the expected rise in the migratory flow into the country. About 1,900 Ukrainian citizens have crossed Moldova’s border since morning. They included whole families. Five persons asked for protection in the Republic of Moldova.

Additional forces were mustered on the border to facilitate border crossing. Hotspot camps are being set up near border crossing points.
