National Day of Romania marked in Chisinau by a series of events

The Embassy of Romania in Chisinau will organize in Moldova a series of events dedicated to the National Day of Romania, IPN reports, quoting a press release of the Embassy.

Thus, a service will be held at the Church “Saint Teodora de la Sihla” in Chisinau on December 1. This will involve Romania’s Ambassador to Moldova Daniel Ionita, who will also attend a play put on at the Theater “Ginta Latina” on the occasion of the Great Union Day. In the evening, the Embassy of Romania will give the traditional reception. As every year, the invitees will include Moldovan officials, representatives of the diplomatic corps, relevant personalities from the field of culture and education, etc.

On December 5, the Romanian Cultural Institute “Mihai Eminescu” in Chisinau and the Embassy of Romania will organize a recital of music and poetry entitled “Under the Sign of Maria” at the National Theater “Satiricus I.L.Caragiale”.

On the same occasion, on November 25 the Romanian Cultural Institute “Mihai Eminescu” and the Embassy of Romania, in cooperation with the National Philharmonic “Sergey Lunkevich”, staged a symphonic concert that involved Romanian violinist Razvan Suma and the Philharmonic’s Symphonic Orchestra, conducted by master Mihai Agafita. On November 29, the Organ Hall hosted a classical music concert. The spectators were able to admire famous Romanian violinist Alexandru Tomescu, accompanied by the National Chamber Orchestra under the direction of conductor Cristian Florea.
