Over 3,000 volumes of children’s books were donated within the “Library under Fir Tree” campaign launched by the Government. The collected books will reach the shelves of libraries across the country, IPN reports.

Given the large number of gathered books, the list of beneficiaries will be expanded. Requests for book donations can be sent to presa@gov.md and employees of the Communication Division will make sure the institutions that need children’s books will receive these.

A series of events were staged as part of this initiative and children from several high schools of the capital city had the opportunity to discuss backstage details of the literary creations of writers Oleg Serebrian and Cristina Bujor.

The “Library under Fir Tree” initiative is part of the nationwide campaign “Come Home for Christmas”. It includes the organization of events to promote culture.
