The representatives of the National Trade Union Confederation from Moldova expressed their confidence in the need to adopt some reforms in the domain of labor and social protection. These reforms are necessary for ensuring the exercise of economic, social and political rights, provided in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, ratified by Moldova. These are the proposals, the trade unionists stated on Wednesday, December 10, at a round table, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary from approving the document, Info-Prim reports. “It is imperiously necessary to form a really independent tripartite body – The Social Economic Council, that would ensure the representation of economic and social interests of the parties. The National Commission for Collective Negotiations and Consultations is a good thing, but it has surpassed its attributions at a certain moment,” Oleg Budza, the CNSM deputy president said. The Trade Unionists propose instituting Labor Tribunals as extra-judicial courts, that would settle work conflicts. A confederation’s request was to reform the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection. “Dismantling the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection is a loss, resulting in other losses, because we cooperated very tightly with this ministry,” Oleg Budza added. The Unions consider regrettable the tergiversation of adopting the Law of the minimal existence. They believe that this law will enhance the protection of the union’s members.
