Nephew beats uncle to death

A nephew killed his uncle because he had attacked his mother earlier, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the Prosecutor General’s Office.
The 72-year-old man from Soroca was confined to bed. One day, the young man and the victim had a quarrel and the nephew gave his uncle a beating. The old man died on the spot as a result of his injuries.
The 35-year-old offender was sentenced to 14 years in closed-type prison. The conviction can be appealed to a higher court.
