The vice director of the Neurology and Neurosurgery Institute has a substantial difference of over 700,000 in his property and the incomes earned in 2016, 2018 and 2019. For 2017-2020, the subject didn’t appropriately declare his property and faces liability, said the National Integrity Authority (NIA) that issued an ascertaining document in the name of Octavian Misic, IPN reports.
NIA said the property of the subject and his wife started to be examined in April 2021. The integrity inspector determined the considerable unjustified difference after verifying the transfers made abroad by the subject and his wife, the purchase of a lot of land near the municipality of Chisinau and of a house that is about 120 square meters in area and ordered to confiscate the difference for the benefit of the state, after the ascertaining order remains definitive.
Also, the subject included incorrect data about the real value of the acquired possessions in his property and personal interests statement for 2016 and for the subsequent years or even didn’t include information about the incomes earned from pharmaceutical companies in the form of sponsorships, the €91,000 donation from his parents and other proceeds.
Over these illegalities, the integrity inspector issued a denouncement to the Prospector General’s Office.
Contacted by IPN for details, press officer of the Neurology and Neurosurgery Institute Dorina Blîndescu said the institution will come with a reaction to the information published by NIA in the nearest future.
