A part of the 69 new ambulances bought at the start of this year were distributed to emergency medical assistance points and substations in 23 communities on July 17. According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection, the ambulances meet all the international standards in the field and the medical equipment enables to provide emergency medical assistance of the highest quality, IPN reports.
The 23 units of transport reached the following localities: Soroca, Vulcanesti, Molovata (Cosnita), Nemteni, Bobeica and Carpineni (Hancesti), Bardar (Ialoveni), Susleni (Orhei), Lozova (Straseni), Lipcani (Briceni), Pelinia (Drochia), Branzeni and Cupcini (Edinet), Risipeni and Glingeni (Falesti), Sturzovca (Glodeni), Saptebani (Rascani), Badiceni (Soroca), Gavanoasa (Cahul), Iargara (Leova), Valea Perjii (Taraclia), Baurci, Cazaclia (Ceadir-Lunga).
The Government allocated 51 million lei from the state budget for purchasing the ambulances.
Recently, the Government and the Council of Europe Development Bank signed a €12m loan agreement for purchasing 170 ambulances. When these ambulances are delivered, about 70% of the ambulances used in the country will be new ones.
