A new part of the 69 new ambulances of Sobol type that were bought earlier this week were distributed to pre-hospital emergency medical assistance units and substations in 14 communities of Moldova, IPN reports.
According to the National Pre-Hospital Emergency Medical Assistance Center, the ambulances reached the towns of Fălești, Sângerei, Drochia, Ocnița, Soroca, Nisporeni, Călărași, Telenești, Basarabeasca, Ungheni, Anenii Noi and the villages of Balatina in Glodeni, Razeni in Ialoveni and Mihailovca in Cimișlia.
To purchase the 69 ambulances, the Government allocated 51 million lei from the state budget. Earlier, 43 ambulances were distributed to pre-hospital emergency medical assistance units and substations. Thirteen more ambulances are to reach the destination.
A month ago, the Government and the Council of Europe Development Bank signed an agreement under which the Bank will lend €12 million for buying 170 ambulances, 35 of which of type C (intensive care ambulances) and 133 ambulances of type B (first aid ambulances).
