Authorities aim to create a dynamic, transparent, and attractive environment for investors and companies through close collaboration with relevant institutions to stimulate the country’s economic development. This objective is outlined in the National Capital Market Development Strategy of the Republic of Moldova for 2025-2030, drafted by the National Commission for Financial Markets (CNPF) and now open for public consultation, IPN reports.

To make the market more appealing to investors, the strategy plans to enhance access to financing by strengthening companies' ability to create capital market funding offers and expanding the investor base to increase market demand and liquidity. It also focuses on improving SME access to the capital market, modernizing infrastructure, strengthening the capital market ecosystem, and aligning the legal and regulatory framework with EU standards.

According to the CNPF, the strategy identifies the strengths and weaknesses of various market segments, including regulations and gaps that hinder capital market development. The project emphasizes diversifying funding sources for both the corporate and public sectors, facilitating SME access to capital, protecting investor rights, and increasing transparency, thereby contributing to the sustainable economic growth of the Republic of Moldova.

Stakeholders can submit objections to the draft until February 17.

After completing the approval and public consultation procedures, the draft law for the National Capital Market Development Strategy 2025-2030 will be reviewed by the Government and then submitted to Parliament for examination.
