New park could emerge in Chisinau

A park of 650 oaks may be planted in Chisinau. According to the head of the municipal agency responsible for green areas, Eliferii Haruta, it will be planted in Botanica district, near the blocks at the entrance into the city known as the City Gates, Info-Prim Neo reports.
The action is part of an action plan on marking the 650th anniversary of the Moldovan statehood. Haruta says the financing project is ready, but all the works must be coordinated with the Ecology Ministry.
Interim mayor of Chisinau Vlad Cotet says the park is most likely to planted as part of the campaign “A tree for our eternity.” The idea belongs to president Vladimir Voronin. Cotet could not say how much planting the park would cost, saying he did not see the project yet.
