The Constitutional Court will no more pronounce decisions immediately after the hearings as earlier. The Court’s spokesman Dumitru Tara has told Info-Prim Neo that the decisions will be made public only when the full text of the decision, edited for being published in the Official Gazette, is available.
Under the legislation, the Constitutional Court can make the decision public within ten days.
In a communiqué, the Court says that the new practice will enable the participants in trials, the press and all those interested to have clear arguments for the verdict on hand. After the judgment is passed, the text of the decision will be published on the Constitutional Court’s website, while the media outlets will be provided with press releases.
