The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration said a decision by the Government of Ukraine, which came into force on June 4, stipulates new procedures for entering/leaving the Crimean peninsula, IPN reports.
Thus, Crimea can be entered and left only through the road traffic checkpoints “Kalanchak”, “Ciaplin” and “Chiongar” and the rail traffic checkpoints “Herson”, “Melitopol”, “Vadim” and “Novoalekseevka”, based on special permits that are issued by the local subdivisions of the State Migration Service of Ukraine.
The permits are issued in the following cases: visits to relatives; possession of property on the territory of the peninsula; death of relatives who lived in this region; going on permanent train routes by railway workers; visits made to protect the national interests of Ukraine, and to diplomatic servants who provide consular services.
