The Chisinau International Airport has announced the initiation of a new tender contest to lease out unused assets for operational purposes for Travel Retail & Food and Beverages activities. The Airport’s administration said that in order to streamline the process, the new tender contest will be carried out according to new criteria, IPN reports.
Thus, the tender contest was divided into two lots – Travel Retail (stores) and Food and Beverages (restaurants). The number of airports where participants have to demonstrate their activity was reduced from 10 to 7 airports. The duration of the lease agreement was extended from three to five years. At the same time, the mandatory criteria were reformulated, including additional explanations and leaving no room for interpretation.
Applications for participation in the tender contest and for visiting the premises can be submitted during June 1-24. The files will be examined during June 25-26, while the contest will be held and the winner will be announced on June 27.
The informative press release is to be published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Moldova on May 31, 2024. Simultaneously, the specifications will be published on the official website of the Airport: www.airport.md.
So far, two tender contests to lease out unused assets inside the Airport for a period of three years, intended for Travel Retail & Food and Beverages activities, have failed.
