New trolleybuses bought from Belarus heading for Chisinau

The first five trolleybuses produced by the Belorussian company Belkommunmash set off to Chisinau on March 18. Twenty trolleybuses will be delivered during ten days, while the other 82 will be supplied in three batches by June 1, Info-Prim Neo reports. Mayor General of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca, who is now in Minsk, visited the plant Belkommunmash. He proposed initiating a joint project to assemble trolleybuses in Chisinau and to reconstruct the trolleybus repair unit of the Chisinau Electric Transport Company. The new trolleybuses will use by about 40% less electric power. They are outfitted with an electronic ad posting and ticket collection system, have three double doors, plastic chairs upholstered with blue cloth and wheelchair access.
