The channel Agro TV Moldova will start to broadcast soon. On July 10, the Broadcasting Coordination Council (BCC) issued a broadcast license to it, IPN reports.

The channel will inform the inhabitants of Moldova about the agricultural sector. During the first year of work, it will broadcast six own programs, while the rest of the broadcast schedule will be filled with products of Agro TV Romania. Afterward, the number of own programs will be extended to 20.

BCC member Nicolae Damaschin said Moldova needs a TV channel with agricultural theme, which will inform the people about international projects in the field.

Member Mariana Onceanu-Hadarca stated that an agricultural TV channel is necessary as this in an unfilled niche in our country.

Member Cristina Mitu said this is a courageous and long-awaited project as the people working in agriculture need an information channel. She welcomed the fact that it will broadcast in Romanian and will be thus accessible.
