Nicolae Testemitanu, Grigore Vieru become academicians posthumously

Famous surgeon and politician Nicolae Testemitanu and poet Grigore Vieru became members (academicians) of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova posthumously, Info-Prim Neo reports. In a communique, the Academy of Sciences says that by this decision they put right an injustice and this act only ennobles the supreme science forum of Moldova. Also, the general assembly of members and corresponding members of the Academy of Sciences decided unanimously to confer the title of member of honor of the Academy on Constantin Toma, professor of the Iasi-based University “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” and member of the Romanian Academy, and on Hans Hartnagel, professor of the Technical University of Darmstadt.
