President of Moldova Nicolae Timofti on March 16 signed a decree to confer the Order of the Republic on the President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaite, IPN reports.
According to the presidential press service, the order was awarded in gratitude for Dalia Grybauskaite’s special contribution to developing the Moldovan-Lithuania relations and for her constant support for Moldova’s European integration efforts.
Dalia Grybauskaite was elected President of the Republic of Lithuania on July 12, 2009. In 2014 she was reelected as head of state. Earlier, Dalia Grybauskaite worked as minister of finance, European Commissionerfor Education and Culture and European Commissioner for Financial Programs and Budget.
