The persons who were conferred awards of the “cross” type will benefit from monthly allowances to the value of 100 lei as of January 1, 2019. Parliament voted relevant amendments and supplements to the Law on Veterans in the final reading, IPN reports.
The persons will benefit from a nominal allowance only if they receive a pension. The awarded persons who form part of several categories of recipients of nominal allowances simultaneously will get one allowance, of their choice. Currently, the state awards system of Moldova includes only one award of the “cross” type, namely the Cross of International Missions.
About 600 Moldovan service members took part in international missions as from 1997 until now. Of them, 120 receive a pension and half of these were conferred different state awards.
