The political bloc NOW today has formally established two groups in Parliament, each corresponding to the political parties forming the bloc, Dignity & Truth (DA) and Action & Solidarity (PAS).
The Parliament Secretariat said in a press release that the group DA/NOW will have 12 MPs, led by the party’s president Andrei Năstase. The group will have MP Maria Ciobanu as deputy leader and MP Dinu Plîngău as its secretary.
PAS/NOW is formed of 14 MPs. The group is led by the party’s president Maia Sandu, with Igor Grosu as her deputy and Sergiu Litvinenco as the group’s secretary.
Three other groups were established at the inaugural meeting of the tenth legislature last week: the Socialist group with 35, the Democratic Party group with 30 MPs, and the Shor Party group with 7 MPs.
