“The number of homeland traitors is increasing, while the news becomes worse every day. We do not have whom to vote for,” independent candidate for Chisinau councilor Oleg Beregoi stated. In a news conference on Tuesday, the candidate said the political parties that are running in the elections are interested only in obtaining votes, not yet in solving the pressing problems of the Chisinau residents, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“The political leaders started a process aimed at destroying the national values and cults. They speak only about the rules they will impose. The problem resides not in a certain candidate, but in the general approach to the problems. We have programs, but do not have people,” said Oleg Beregoi.
According to the independent candidate, the manipulation and control techniques of the political parties are so advanced that the people believe evident lies.
“If things go on like this, we will not be able to recover. We will enter an inevitable process of destruction and will lose the language, the borders and the faith,” Oleg Beregoi said, calling on the people not to vote for a candidate if they have suspicions.
He expressed his indignation at the fact that some of the candidates find it difficult or practically impossible to get to political debates on radio or television to present their electoral programs. He blamed the law under which the election runners are no more allotted free airtime for this.
Oleg Beregoi said the creation of workplaces is the most important objective for Chisinau as the exodus of labor force abroad should be stopped. He stated that the parking areas in the capital city should be managed correctly and there should be built new roads.
Oleg Beregoi is 23. He studies for a master’s degree in regional policies at the Free International University of Moldova.
