Over 34,000 Ukrainian refugees benefit from temporary protection in the capital city of Moldova. The figure grew by more than 600 people during a week, deputy mayor of Chisinau Angela Kutasevich said, being quoted by IPN.
“On September 23, 2024, the number of beneficiaries of temporary protection in Chisinau totaled 34,284, an increase of 662 people compared to September 16,” sated Angela Kutasevich.
Over 8000 of the beneficiaries of temporary protection who stopped in the capital city are children younger than 17.
The municipal authorities reaffirm their commitment to continue supporting the community of vulnerable people who are in need of protection.
