Old religious books confiscated at customs

A citizen who tried to smuggle old religious books was held at Basarabeasca- Serpnevoe customs. The volumes date back to 18th-19th centuries, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the head of the Customs Service Tudor Balitchi, if the court rules this action as smuggling, the held persons may be sentenced to 3 up 8 years in jail. Tudor Balitchi told a press conference the export and import of goods through Moldovan customs have significantly increased lately.
