Old woman injured, her son killed in house fire

A 44-year-old man from Stefan Voda town lost his life in a fire caused by a moldering cigarette. Contacted by Info-Prim Neo, spokeswoman for the Civil Protection and Emergencies Service Liliana Puscasu said the fire happened in a house in Stefan Voda at about 11pm. The man’s mother aged 80 was rushed to the hospital with carbon monoxide poisoning. The Civil Protection and Emergencies Service continues to pay home visits to warn the people about the dangers posed by reckless smoking and faulty stoves.
