One killed, one injured in collision between train and car

A man was skilled, while another one suffered injuries when the car in which they traveled collided with a train in Sofia village of Drochia district on the afternoon of January 13, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the Ministry of the Interior, the driver of a Ford Fiesta car ignored the red color of the stoplights and was struck by a train running on the Moscow – Chisinau route. As a result, the 44-year-old passenger, who was from Sofia, died on the spot, while the driver was rushed to the hospital with different injuries. The same afternoon, a woman died after she sustained injuries in an accident at the Central Bus Station in Chisinau. She was crushed by a bus running on the Chisinau – Tiraspol route, which crashed into a kiosk. The woman died in the hospital several hours later. Allegedly, the driver lost control of the vehicle as the braking system broke down.
