A man aged 18 suffered injuries in the fire that occurred in Mereșeni village of Hâncești district on the night of November 25. He was admitted to the Intensive Care Section of the Hâncești District Hospital, the institution’s vice director Iurie Petcu confirmed for IPN.
The young man was the friend of the two teenagers aged 15 and 16 who were found carbonized in the house. The police said the boy and the girl had signs of violence on their bodies.
Asked by IPN to provide details, the mayor of Mereșeni Tatiana Buruiană said the teens who died lived with the boy’s mother who was the girl’s grandmother. That night they were at home alone. The girl’s mother was working in Chisinau.
The police started a criminal case and are to establish if it was an arson attack.
