One of killers of Durlesti couple is a friend of victims' son

The police arrested two men aged 23 and 25, who are suspected of torturing and murdering a married couple from Durlesti. Ion Bodrug, deputy head of the Police Department, told a news conference on July 19 one of the suspects is a friend of the victims' son. The killed man was trading in electronic parts that contained precious metals. The criminals had masks on their faces. They broke in on the night of July 16 and stole 2 kilograms of electronic parts and €6,000. A part of the stolen things were found. The money has not been yet identified. Corneliu Bratunov, acting head of the Exceptional Cases Investigation Division, said the two suspects were arrested on July 17. They admitted their guilt and related how they entered the house and killed the husband and wife. They said they did not intend to kill them, but the man took the mask out of a criminal and recognized him. One of the suspects is a jeweler and had been convicted of theft. The couple, aged 50 and 55, were found dead in the house by their son. The offenders are liable to up to 20 years behind bars.
