A project aimed at supporting the young persons who want to set up businesses was presented by the representative office of the largest student-run organization AIESEC and one of the project implementation partners, the Organization for the Development of the SME Sector, during a news conference held at Info-Prim Neo on April 13. This is the third ICO project “Transform your Business Idea into a Lifestyle!” implemented by AIESEC together with the business communities of Moldova, Romania and Ukraine. Within the previous two projects, 20% of the about 70 trained young persons started businesses. Now it is planned that 30 young persons - last-year-students, persons studying for a doctor's degree and graduates – will set up businesses, said project manager Tudor Tarlev. If they have business ideas and want to start their own businesses, have leadership abilities and potential, the ICO project will help them achieve their goals. According to Tudor Tarlev, the project has four components that will be implemented from April 26 until September. Twelve training courses given by senior managers from Moldova, Romania and Ukraine will be organized at the first stage, during a month. The second component called Coaching Program will be carried out in parallel with the first component. Working groups will be coached by experts who know the particularities of the business environment in Moldova. Business plans will be prepared after the two components. The future businessmen will have the possibility of analyzing and implementing the acquired knowledge. An ICO investment contest for the project participants will be held afterward. The members of the assessment commission will include representatives of consultancy companies, financial companies and foreign investors. Tudor Tarlev said that immediately after the ICO interviews are held, the personal data of the participants will be included in the AIESEC international internship program and there will be selected companies from 100 countries and projects where Moldovan young people will get practical experience during 1 to 3 months. The deadline for applications is April 15. The participation conditions are available on the project's official website– www.ico.md. The project is intended for Moldovan young people who want to build a future at home.
