Outstanding salaries at CFM are paid gradually, Daniel Vodă

The authorities, in partnership with the Moldovan Railway (CFM) administration, are looking for solutions to solve the problems related to salary arrears at the company. The Government’s spokesperson Daniel Vodă stated that the salary payment schedule is respected, stressing that the outstanding salaries of the last two-three months are being paid gradually. “It is necessary to speed up this process”, he added.

Vodă stressed that CFM is a company is of strategic importance for Moldova. “We want to have a well-established infrastructure. We also want the technical utilities operated by the company to be modern. At the same time, in the case of outstanding salaries, by optimizing operations, by identifying solutions within the company, we will seek to solve this problem along the way”, said the Government’s spokesperson.

Earlier, the National Confederation of Trade Unions requested the intervention of Prime Minister Dorin Recean to solve the problem of salary arrears at CFM. In a letter to the prime minister, the Confederation said that more than 5,000 employees have not received their salaries since April, with the arrears amounting to 136 million lei.
