Over 11,000 people helped by ANOFM to find a job so far this year

More than 11,000 people were helped to become employed since the beginning of 2024, a figure that exceeds the number of total hires in 2023, IPN reports

According to the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection, of the total number of employed persons, 50.8% are women. 15.5% are people aged between 55 and 63. 1.3% are people with disabilities. 1.1% are citizens of the Republic of Moldova who returned from abroad. 0.4% are Roma people.

Of the total number of unemployed persons registered in the database of the National Employment Agency (ANOFM), more than 5,200 got hired.

Most people found a job in collective, social and personal service activities, manufacturing industry, the building sector, wholesale and retail trade, agriculture, public administration, health and social assistance.

ANOFM recommends jobseekers to apply to the local employment subdivisions in order to benefit from employment support. The services are free of charge and are available to both the unemployed and employed people who want to change jobs.
